MoU Signed between AustCham Korea and AKYPA

 

On the 31st of January, in a landmark event, the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AustCham Korea) and the Australia Korea Young Professionals Association (AKYPA) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining a framework for cooperation and joint initiatives to provide support, resources, and opportunities for young professionals in both countries.

 

This historic signing, which took place at the Korean Consulate in Melbourne, marks a significant step towards nurturing the next generation of leaders and strengthening the Australia-Korea partnership. The ceremony was graced by the presence and support of Consul General Mr Changhoon Yi, whose contributions to fostering Australia-Korea relations have been invaluable.

 

The MoU was signed by Mr Rowan Petz, Executive Director of AustCham Korea, and Mr Daniel Ha, President of AKYPA, in a display of mutual commitment and shared vision. Rowan, speaking at the event, emphasised the significance of this partnership, noting: “The collaboration between AustCham Korea and AKYPA is more than just a formal agreement; it is a testament to the development of the next generation of leaders who will shape the future of the bilateral relationship.”

 

Remarking on the occasion, Daniel noted that: “The MoU represents a milestone in our mission to empower young professionals. Together with AustCham Korea, we are committed to creating opportunities for our members to excel and contribute significantly to the Australia-Korea relationship.”
