John Walker x Child Fund Charity Donation

AustCham Korea was honoured to be able to support and attend John Walker, Chairman, Macquarie Group of Companies Korea, newest album launch, ‘Kooyal’ at the Novotel Ambassador Seoul, Gangnam on April 10.

Apart from a night of fun and great music, the event aimed at raising the profile and much-needed funds for the charity organisation, Child Fund Korea. The organisation, which has been running for over 70 years, provides financial, physical, and emotional support for children with mental and physical damage not only in Korea but worldwide.

AustCham Korea was delighted to be associated with the event, donating 2 million won on the night, with all donations being matched dollar for dollar by the Macquarie Foundation.

The event attracted many from the Australian-Korean community, including Australian Ambassador, H.E James Choi and Australian comedian Sam Hammington, who both made speeches for the cause respectively.

AustCham would like to thank John Walker for his continuous support of not only charitable organisations, but the Chamber and broader Australian-Korean community. Kooyal is now on sale, with all proceeds going to Child Fund Korea.
