Financial Services Sub-Committee: Roundtable with special guest, Australian Ambassador to the United States of America, the Hon. Joe Hockey.
The roundtable provided invited AustCham Gold Sponsors and representatives from the Chamber’s newly formed FSSC with a rare opportunity to gain insights into Ambassador Hockey’s experience as the former Treasurer of Australia and more recent appointment as the Australian Ambassador to the United States of America.
Following the briefing, a Q&A discussion covered the Ambassador’s perspective on United States (US) policy settings, US-China trade relations, Australia’s interests with the US, and US engagement in the region.
