Delicious Sample of the Andaz Original StAIK Sandwich

On Thursday, July 20, the Secretariat of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AustCham Korea) were treated to a classic steak sandwich made by a robot at the Andaz Seoul Gangnam.

The newly introduced ‘Andaz Original StAIK Sandwich’ from the Andaz’s restaurant, Bites & Wine, is a juicy beef tenderloin steak on savory grain bread accompanied by sweet onion jam and sundried tomatoes, with a side of crispy hot chips and a refreshing tomato salad.

Executive Head Chef, Damien Selme, introduced the team to the newest member of his team: AI Chef Grill Robot. This addition by Andaz Seoul Gangnam is the first AI cooking robot in the domestic Korean hotel industry. The AI Chef Grill Robot analyses the perfectly cooked steak using molecular sensors to replicate the taste and texture of the steak prepared by the chef.

The Chamber would like to thank Chef Damien and General Manager of the Andaz Seoul Gangnam, Robert Hamer, for such a fun and interactive lunch.
