Team Australia at BioKorea 2023
On May 10-12, 2023, Austrade showcased Australia’s world class life science technologies in Korea and supported Australia-Korea partnerships with an Australian mission to BioKorea.
In partnership with five state governments and supported by MTPConnect and Department of Home Affairs, the mission to BioKorea 2023 comprised of 36 organisations that represented the breadth of Australian capacity in the mRNA technology, regenerative medicine, clinical trials, contract manufacturing, medical research and precision medicine.
The Australian delegation was the largest in its size so far and was represented at the Australian National Pavilion at COEX Seoul. The delegation also participated in Conference sessions on vaccine and regenerative medicine held by leading Australian presenters. The Australian National Pavilion, online partnering program, and Australian focus programs provided an exciting opportunity for Korean counterparts to meet with the Australian delegates and explore collaboration with Australian companies and research institutions.
