On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, the AustCham Korea Secretariat visited the 동방사회복지회 (Eastern Social Welfare Society) office to present a donation from the AustCham-ESWS Walkation Fundraiser.

The donation comes from the participation fees of everyone that joined the #walkation event, with 40 AustCham participants (raising 1,200,000 KRW). In total, ESWS was able to raise 21,690,000 KRW with 723 participants; the funds will go toward assisting in various projects supporting single-mothers.

Programs include:
– projects for self reliance and livelihoods
– group homes
– mental & emotional support
– raising awareness of single mothers (story book & web toon contests)
