AustCham CSR – Yeongdeungpo Housing Project

Working with the local Yeongdeungpo welfare center to assist disadvantaged residents, yesterday, on Sunday, October 25th, our AustCham CSR team assisted with helping a elderly disabled man move out of his goshiwon (micro apartment) into a new home. The volunteer team worked hard to pack, clean and prepared the new house, moving the household items and boxes up 5 flights of stairs without an elevator.
Additionally, on behalf of our members, the Chamber purchased a new fridge and washing machine for the resident’s new home.
We want to thank all the volunteers that assisted on the day and also give a special mention to Ben Fallon from Simple Spaces for donating some additional household items.
It was great to see Team Australia coming together to help the local community and we look forward to hosting other CSR initiatives in the coming months!
