
[AustCham Korea Community Volunteering Opportunity: “Together Green – Seonyudo Park”]
AustCham Korea invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from all member companies to participate in our upcoming Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and environmental volunteering initiative, Together Green – Seonyudo Park, taking place on Saturday, 31 May 2025.
Proudly sponsored by our valued Gold Member, Woodside Energy Korea and delivered in partnership with the Han River Social Cooperative, this initiative offers members a meaningful opportunity to support urban biodiversity and sustainability. Set in Seonyudo Park — Korea’s first ecological park repurposed from a former water purification facility — the program will feature hands-on tree planting and interactive ecological education.
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, 31 May 2025
- Time: 12:00 – 15:00 (Lunch provided from 12:00 – 13:00)
- Location: Seonyudo Park, 343 Seonyu-ro, Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul (meeting point: Seonyudo Story Centre)
- Participants: Up to 30 AustCham Korea members, colleagues, and family members
- Dress Code: Comfortable outdoor wear; gloves and boots will be provided
- Cost: Fully Sponsored by Woodside Energy Korea
How to get there:
- Address for Navigation: 선유도공원 선유도이야기관 – 서울특별시 영등포구 선유로 343
- Parking: Available at Yanghwa Hangang Park Lot 3, followed by a short walk to the venue
- Public Transport: Take bus 603 or 761 from Dangsan Station or Hapjeong Station; get off at the Seonyudo Park stop (1 stop away)

- Native tree planting (willow, elm, etc.) in wetland zones
- Ecological sensitivity quiz and biodiversity education
- Nature-based solutions briefing and hands-on engagement
