AustCham Korea Meets with Shinhan Bank to Explore Strategic Partnership
On Tuesday, 15 April, the AustCham Korea Secretariat held a productive meeting with Shinhan Bank to explore opportunities for closer engagement and long-term collaboration. As one of Korea’s leading financial institutions, Shinhan Bank has demonstrated a growing commitment to supporting the foreign business community and expanding its global partnerships.
The meeting served as a platform to discuss mutual interests in promoting cross-border commerce, enhancing financial accessibility for international companies, and supporting the growth of Australian businesses and investors operating in Korea. AustCham Korea reaffirmed its role as the peak body representing the Australia-Korea business community and mentioned its broad member base spanning finance, education, resources, professional services, and consumer goods.
Both sides discussed how Shinhan Bank could play a strategic role in facilitating future bilateral business initiatives, contributing to a more inclusive and globally connected financial ecosystem.
AustCham Korea views this initial dialogue as demonstrating the potential for a strong and mutually beneficial relationship. The Chamber looks forward to working closely with Shinhan Bank to pave the way for deeper bilateral engagement, cross-sector collaboration, and a growing pipeline of foreign direct investment (FDI) between Australia and Korea in the near future.
