Australian Ambassador recognises the support of AustCham’s Platinum and Gold Sponsors
Last week, the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Korea co-hosted with the Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea His Excellency Jeff Robinson, and his wife Mrs Robinson, an informal dinner to recognise the support from the Chamber’s Platinum and Gold members during the past year.
The event offered an opportunity to extend AustCham Korea’s gratitude to its Platinum and Gold members, while bringing together a select group of distinguished guests from some of Korea’s leading industry powerhouses, including SK On, Hanwha Aerospace, Hyundai Group, and Samsung C&T – Engineering and Construction. This gathering fostered meaningful discussions, provided invaluable insights, and recognised the ever-growing Australia-Korea business relationship.
This timely gathering marked an important milestone, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Korea-Australia Free Trade Agreement (KAFTA). Since coming into force on 12 December 2014, trade between Australia and Korea has more than doubled. The dinner further highlighted the flourishing trade and investment ties between both nations.
The evening featured a thoughtfully curated menu by Australian brunch café and bistro Lucyd, paired with premium Australian wines generously provided by AustCham Korea member Accolade Wines. Guests also enjoyed a delightful selection of beverages from iconic Australian brands, including Nippy’s juice and Bundaberg soft drinks.
AustCham Korea is immensely proud to foster engagement, collaboration, and mutual growth for businesses in both Australia and Korea. It hopes the valuable connections made during the evening will inspire future partnerships and deepen community ties.
