On Monday, 21st October 2024, AustCham Korea, in collaboration with the South Australian Trade and Investment Office, hosted a highly engaging Business Luncheon Discussion with the Honourable Joe Szakacs MP, South Australian Minister for Trade and Investment.

The event, held at the Four Seasons Seoul, brought together senior business leaders from AustCham Korea’s membership, representatives from the South Australian business delegation, and members of the South Australian government.

In his keynote speech, Minister Szakacs emphasised that South Australia is already powered by 97 percent renewable energy and is on target to be 100 free of carbon energy sources by 2027. He also touched on his state’s Green Steel Strategy and the importance of the construction sector to build a stable housing supply, and potential opportunities for establishing a hydrogen export supply chain.

AustCham Korea extends its sincere thanks to Minister Szakacs and the South Australian government for their invaluable support in co-hosting this event. Their leadership in advancing renewable energy initiatives has opened up new avenues for increased bilateral trade and investment, and the Chamber is excited to continue fostering these connections.
