AustCham Korea Visits a Seoul Park to Plan Upcoming CSR Activity.

Together with AustCham Korea’s resident corporate social responsibility (CSR) expert Harry Lee, members of the AustCham Secretariat visited the office of the Yeouido Saetgang Ecological Park, a huge green space in the heart of Seoul. The reason for the visit was to discuss a future CSR activity there, in which members of the extended AustCham members and associated community will be invited to take part.
As well as being a leafy oasis in the middle of the city where Seoul residents go to take walks (often barefoot), Yeouido Saetgang Ecological Park is also home to wild Eurasian otters, a protected species designated Natural Monument No. 330 by the South Korean government in 1982.
Secretariat members were led on a brief inspection of the park, where AustCham Korea members and friends will soon be invited to take part in a clean-up exercise. As a result of the visit and discussion, Harry and the Secretariat members feel confident that AustCham Korea can play a part in improving the attractiveness of the park for both its human and otter visitors.
