AustCham Korea and BCCK Collaborate for ESG Talks Event.

On 10 September, the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Korea, in partnership with the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea, hosted a compelling ESG Talks panel discussion. The event was moderated by John Walker AM, Chairman of Eastpoint Partners Limited, and emceed by Lucinda Walker of the BCCK, held at the Australian Embassy. The evening began with opening remarks from Austrade’s Trade Commissioner, Dane Richmond.
The panel featured industry leaders with deep expertise in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues: Mira Lee, Board Member at SK Ecoplant; Thomas Putter, Founder and CEO of Ancora Finance; Henrik Ramskov, CEO of Navigare Capital; and John Rhee, Chairman of iEnergy.
Drawing from their extensive experience, the panellists highlighted the importance of shifting the business perspective on ESG from a perceived cost to a critical risk management tool. They emphasised that this approach not only strengthens long-term business sustainability but also enhances profitability.
Following the insightful discussion, attendees and speakers networked over wine, beer, soft drinks, and cheese, exploring potential business synergies and collaboration opportunities.
AustCham Korea extends its gratitude to the Australian Embassy in Korea, Eastpoint Partners Limited, and the BCCK for their valued support.
