AustCham Korea Young Professionals Mentorship Program

AustCham Korea is thrilled to announce the launch of its Young Professionals Mentorship Program, a unique initiative designed to foster career development and cross-cultural collaboration.

This six-week pilot program, running from July 17th to late August 2024, will connect a small group of mentees with seasoned professionals from within the Australia-Korea bilateral relationship. Participants will receive personalized guidance from experienced mentors, helping them develop essential skills, set and achieve career goals, and navigate the Australia-Korea business landscape.

Eligible candidates must hold at least a bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience. The program seeks individuals with clearly defined career aspirations and a strong motivation to engage actively.

Mentee Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Background: Mentees should have completed at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
2. Professional Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional experience is required with a demonstrative interest of the Australia-Korea bilateral relationship.
3. Career Goals: Mentees should have clearly defined short-term and long-term career goals that align with the objectives of the mentorship program.
4. Commitment: Applicants must commit to attending all scheduled mentorship activities, including meetings, workshops, and networking events.
5. Motivation: Mentees should demonstrate a strong motivation and willingness to actively participate in the mentorship program. This can be assessed through their application and interviews if conducted.
6. Professional Behavior: Mentees are expected to maintain professional behavior and adhere to ethical standards, including respecting mentorship confidentiality and being punctual for meetings.
7. Diversity and Inclusion: The program welcomes individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds and does not discriminate based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or other factors.
8. Location: The pilot program is open to participants located in South Korea only.
9. Application Process: Mentees must complete the program’s application process, including submitting a comprehensive application form, a resume, and possibly participating in interviews.
