Griffith University Seeking Partners for its Remote Internship Program.

Supported by AustCham Korea, Griffith University in Queensland, Australia is seeking partners to place eight students partaking in a remote internship experience in Korea.

Through the program, students gain industry experience while undertaking a project/tasks in a Korean based company and receive 20 credit points toward their program of study.

Remote internships are similar to physical internships; however, the students will be based in Australia and connecting with the work place via web-platforms and phone working on specific projects or contributing to normal day-to-day tasks while also joining where appropriate team and/or client meetings.

Students complete a preparation program covering professional development, cultural and language orientation before undertaking the remote internship aligned with their academic degree, including international business, marketing, finance, accounting, HR, politics, economics and other business related fields. The internship period is from Monday 9 November to Friday 18 December 2020; however, due to the virtual nature of the program there is flexibility in regards to working hours per week and total weeks of the internship pending on organisation needs.

By facilitating this opportunity, Griffith hopes to support people to people linkages between South Korea and Australia and strengthen collaborative opportunities.

If your company or organisation is interested in hosting a remote intern, please contact AustCham Korea (info@austchamkorea.org) or reach out to Dr Andrea Haefner (a.haefner@griffith.edu.au) directly for more information.
