Pepper Savings Bank Sponsors LPGA Golf – UL International Crown

Last week, AustCham Korea attended the Women’s international golf tournament, the LPGA UL International Crown to support Pepper Savings Bank sponsorship of the event, as well as to cheer on Team Australia.  Pepper Savings Bank was the official Ambassador Partner and exclusive financial services sector sponsor of the UL International Crown.

The UL International Crown returned for its third edition in 2018, featuring teams from eight countries of the top four players from each nation. The UL International Crown was played from October 4-7 at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Songdo, marking the first time the event will be held outside the United States.

Much of the exciting action on the day was focused around the Pepper Saving Bank sponsored 13th hole. Many from the Australian-Korean community, including the Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, H.E James Choi, Pepper Savings Bank Korea CEO Matthew Chang and mascots Pepper Roo were in attendance to cheer on Team Australia and participating competitors.

Although Team Australia’s Minjee Lee, Katherine Kirk, Sarah Jane Smith and Su Oh played exceptionally well, in the end, Team Korea was victorious in winning the 2018 UL International Crown.
