Speaker Introduction:

Khoon Goh, Head of Asia Research, ANZ

Khoon is the Head of Asia Research for ANZ. He has over 20 years of experience working in various economic and strategy roles across both the public and private sectors. Khoon actively travels to market ANZ’s views to investor clients, such as central banks, hedge funds and real money; as well as corporate clients. He also appears regularly in the media. ANZ’s Asia research team have been ranked in the top two for FX Research and Market Coverage as voted by financial institutions in the AsiaMoney FX Poll between 2012 and 2016, the last year that the survey was conducted. ANZ was also ranked second for best regional team for Asian macroeconomic research in the AsiaMoney Fixed Income Poll 2016, and ranked first for five years running in the KangaNews Fixed-Income Research Polls between 2014 and 2018 for best research on Asian markets.

Dr. William Shin, Senior Coordinating Doctor, International SOS

Dr William Shin is a Senior Coordinating Doctor at International SOS, based in Seoul, South Korea. Since joining International SOS in 2005, Dr Shin has been leading the provision of medical assistance services of the Medical Team and the Seoul Assistance Centre for our clients and members. He has managed over a thousand medical evacuations including over a hundred cases where he personally evacuated patients for Korean clients operating overseas and also for foreign companies operating in South Korea.

Dr Shin plays a key role in emergency medical care at International SOS. In 2013, Dr Shin worked as a doctor on board of Korea’s first icebreaker ‘ARAON’, and in 2014, he served as a member for emergency medical preventive measures to ‘Jang Bogo’, the Korean Antarctic Research Station.

He has also delivered numerous trainings and lectures to audience from various industries, which include an educational session for the National Emergency Medical Centre (NEMC) on responding to and managing foreign patients. In 2006, he participated in the ‘Asia Conference on Healthcare and Health Insurance’ and presented on Business Continuity Planning (BCP). He also conducts regular training sessions for members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Korea.

In addition, Dr Shin served as a consultant to the Ministry of Health and Welfare for the evacuation of an Ebola patient using International SOS’ portable medical isolation unit via air ambulance.
