COVID-19 Webinar: Food Security and Food Supply Chains

COVID-19 has had a serious impact on international trade. During this crisis, the Australian Government is tackling issues around food security and supply chains and ensuring that quality Australian food is still making its way overseas. To shed light on these topics, AustCham Korea is pleased to invite you to join next week’s event, ‘COVID-19 Webinar: Food Security and Food Supply Chains’, which will take place on Wednesday, April 29, between 3 pm – 4 pm (Seoul time).

Speaker Introduction:

𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿
Agriculture Counsellor, Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment

Emma joined the Department in 2015 as the Director of International Forest Policy, administering Australia’s illegal logging laws and managing Australia’s multilateral and bilateral engagement on forest-related policy and trade matters.

Prior to joining the department, Emma has held a range of positions within the Australian government focussed on international trade (including anti-dumping and subsidies policies and investigations), climate change negotiations, competition and consumer protection, cross-border regulation, and international development.

Beyond her government experience, Emma has practised law in one of Australia’s leading commercial law firms, and has worked on private trade law issues at the United Nations.

Brent has over 10 years experience in trade and trade policy across numerous departments of the Australian Government and across Asia – he has been posted to Taipei since January 2020. Prior to his posting in Taipei, Brent spent five years serving as the Consul Commercial and Trade and Investment Commissioner at Austrade Shanghai.
