AustCham’s Visit to USG Boral’s Dangjin Facility. 

Last month, AustCham’s Executive Director, Rowan Petz visited Chamber Member, USG Boral Korea‘s Dangjin facility.

For those who may not have heard of USG Boral, the company is a global joint venture established with the Boral Group and the USG corporation in March 2014, together to form a market leader across Asia, Australasia and the Middle East, transforming their companies into a world-leading business.

The joint venture, USG Boral, brings together two building products giants. Boral has the leading plasterboard manufacturing and distribution footprint across Asia and Australia while USG is one of the largest and most technologically advanced gypsum businesses in the world and the undisputed leader of the drywall industry.

USG Boral Korea produces plasterboards, ceiling tiles and compounds in its 3 plants located in Ulsan, Yosu and Dangjin. The company is committed to introducing the most innovative and efficient products to support the needs of the Korean construction industry. In December 2010, it received the “Carbon Product Declaration” for the prerequisite interior material, making it the first enterprise to receive the certificate. With around 350 employees, USG Boral Korea leads the industry in terms of innovation, service and product quality.
