Arirang TV – The Chamber with AustCham Korea
[19 June 2019]
AustCham Korea recently was featured in an episode of ‘The Chamber’ on the Arirang TV network.
Chris Raciti, Chair of AustCham Korea, sat down with presenters Punita Bajaj and Todd Sample to discuss the past, present and future of the Korea-Australia economic relationship and ways to encourage more Australian investment in Korea.
In addition, Rowan Petz, AustCham Korea’s Executive Director spoke on the role of the Chamber and how it fosters a strong bilateral relationship.
Korea and Australia are major, long-term partners in the world that have been maintaining symbiotic relations since establishing diplomatic ties in 1961. The bilateral relationship entered a new phase in 2014 with the establishment of the Korea-Australia Free Trade Agreement, and as a result of that, many Australian companies from all sectors are looking to expand into Korea, Australia’s 4th—largest trading partner. To bridge the gap between the two countries, even before the Kor-Aus FTA came into force, the Australian Chamber of Commerce has been representing Australian companies in Korea.
